Service Description
Beach Adventure offers a supported, outdoor experience that combines physical activity, teamwork and connection with nature. The experience is designed to be engaging, confidence-building and inclusive, with activities shaped around the needs and abilities of the group. The adventure includes a beach-based overnight stay in tents, supported by experienced Adults, and a full programme of coastal activities. Young people take part in a mix of surfing or kayaking, cave exploring, and beach games and rock pooling, encouraging curiosity, movement and shared achievement. The overnight element provides a valuable opportunity to develop independence, resilience and trust in a safe, structured way. Evenings focus on winding down, shared meals and positive group time, helping young people feel settled, included and supported. Activities are flexible and adapted as needed, with choice encouraged throughout. The experience promotes confidence, communication, problem-solving and positive relationships, while offering a memorable break from everyday routines. This adventure is well suited to individuals or small groups and can be delivered as a standalone experience or as part of a wider programme of outdoor enrichment and personal development.

Cancellation Policy
Overnight Beach Adventure – Booking Policy Provisional Bookings and Suitability All bookings for the Overnight Beach Adventure are provisional at the point of enquiry. Final confirmation is subject to further discussion with the placing organisation or responsible Adults to ensure the experience is suitable for the young person(s). These discussions will consider individual needs, abilities, risks, behaviour support requirements and activity preferences, including surfing, kayaking, cave exploring and beach-based activities. Vodapod may adapt activities or, where necessary, decline a booking if the experience cannot be delivered safely or positively. This ensures the best possible outcomes for everyone involved. Booking Confirmation A booking is only considered fully confirmed once pre-activity discussions have taken place, suitability has been agreed, and written confirmation has been issued by Vodapod. Until this point, dates are held on a provisional basis only. Cancellations and Refunds If a confirmed booking is cancelled, the following staged cancellation terms apply: • More than 28 days before the event: 75% refund • Between 15 and 28 days before the event: 50% refund • 14 days or fewer before the event: no refund These terms reflect planning time, staffing, equipment hire and accommodation commitments already in place. Behaviour Support and Physical Intervention All behaviour support during the experience remains the responsibility of the young person’s home-based Adults. Vodapod staff do not provide behaviour management support that would normally be delivered by the home and will not undertake any form of physical intervention or restrictive practice. Home-based Adults are expected to know the young person well and respond to behaviour in line with the home’s policies, training and care plans. Vodapod staff are responsible for activity delivery, guidance and environmental safety only. Equipment and Damage All equipment must be used in line with guidance provided. Where damage occurs due to misuse or failure to follow instructions, repair or replacement costs may be charged. Equipment that cannot be repaired will be charged at 100% replacement cost (new for old). Participation and Safety Participation is encouraged but never forced. Activities will be adapted where needed to support positive engagement and safety. A full and detailed policy will be sent with the booking confirmation.
